Each piece is a celebration of traditional 'punch card' techniques, brought to life on shuttle looms that dance under the guidance of jacquard machines, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike. 

The crowning glory of each placemat is the bespoke tombolo lace—a delicate and intricate form of macramé bobbin lace. Tombolo lace, an Italian embroidery tradition, requires exceptional skill and patience, as artisans meticulously weave threads over a pillow using pins and bobbins to create ornate patterns, a craft passed down through generations. 

Sold in pairs and made to order, requiring a lead time of two weeks, they are an investment in both style and heritage. Available in a palette of four earth-inspired shades.

Please note this piece is made to order from linen which has been traditionally woven from a unique blend of natural linen yarns and dyed yarns and is finished with an intricate macramé bobbin lace trim.

As it is not mass-produced unique variations inherent to the natural beauty of the fabric and the bobbin ajour lace trim may arise; such variations are considered intrinsic characteristics of the piece and the traditional method by which it was created.

Linen gets softer with each wash. As with all linen products please allow for approx. 5% shrinkage when first washed.
